How to judge plumbing work

Most plumbing emergencies are the visible end of a slow problem: a supply line that has been weeping behind drywall, a water heater whose anode rod gave up years ago, or a drain line that has been narrowing with scale. The value of a good plumber is largely in catching the slow version before it becomes the loud one.

Water pressure, pipe material and water chemistry interact more than most homeowners expect. Hard water shortens fixture life; pressure above roughly 80 psi stresses every joint in a house. Asking what a plumber measures — not just what they replace — is a fair way to judge one.

I HIGHLY recommend Vu for any HVAC services. He is VERY polite, knowledgeable, helpful and is quick to respond to my texts. When my HVAC broke during the hottest day of the year, he worked overtime that day, so he could repair my AC so I had air conditioning that night. He worked for 45 minutes or so after a full day at work in my hot attic to make the repair and was still polite and smiling when he was done. He was also off to another call so someone else could have their air conditioning restored even though it was late in the evening. I will always reach out him if my heat and air are in need repair again.
